Pengaruh Penambahan Zat Aditif Bestmittel Dengan Dosis 0,5% Terhadap Nilai Kuat Tekan Beton
ABSTRACT
Concrete is one of the main construction materials widely used in infrastructure development due to its high compressive strength and good durability. However, achieving optimal compressive strength typically requires a relatively long curing period, approximately 28 days. To address this limitation, admixtures such as Bestmittel are used to accelerate the hardening process and improve early-age compressive strength. This study aims to determine the effect of adding Bestmittel at a dosage of 0.5% of the cement weight on the compressive strength of concrete at curing ages of 3 days, 5 days, 7 days, 15 days, and 28 days. The specimens used were cylindrical concrete samples with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm. For each curing age, three specimens were prepared and tested. The results showed that the average compressive strength of normal concrete at 28 days was 26.31 MPa, while concrete with Bestmittel achieved 32.16 MPa at the same age. Notably, on the fifth day, the specimen reached a compressive strength of 25.65 MPa, equivalent to 102% of the standard design strength of 25 MPa. These findings indicate that the addition of Bestmittel at 0.5% significantly increases the compressive strength of concrete, accelerates the early-age hardening process, and contributes positively to the performance of the concrete.
