Perencanaan Dimensi Kantong Lumpur Bendung Sei Tibun Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
Erosion and sedimentation can reduce the capacity of waterways, so to overcome the problem of sedimentation in irrigation canals, a mud interceptor building is needed. Therefore, in this research, a sandtrap dimension planning is planned. This research aims to design an effective and efficient santrap design in accordance with the existing conditions in the Sei Tibun Dam irrigation network. The research phase begins with testing the suspended load and base load sediment samples, the flow velocity, and the required sandtrap dimensions. Based on the calculation results, the volume of sediment entering the primary channel of Sei Tibun Weir is 2.52 m3/day. To overcome this, a sandtrap with dimensions of 1 m wide, 0.8 m high, and 44 m long was designed. The analysis shows that the santrap is able to settle sediment with an efficiency of 0.82, so that 82% of the sediment entering the intake can be deposited into the sandtrap.
