Analisis Pengaruh Penggunaan Kaca Film Pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya
ABSTRACT As population and economic growth in Indonesia increases, so does the demand for energy. For this reason, renewable energy is needed as the right solution to meet energy needs in a sustainable manner. Indonesia is geographically located in a tropical climate so that Indonesia can utilize PLTS as a source of new renewable energy. PLTS utilizes solar energy which will be converted into electrical energy with the photovoltaic process. The performance of PLTS is strongly influenced by temperature and solar irradiation. This research was conducted to reduce the temperature of the solar panel surface due to the high intensity of sunlight by utilizing the ability of window film to reduce the heat of sunlight. This study uses two layers of window film with 0% and 20% darkness. This study was conducted with three conditions that were carried out simultaneously directly with a 100 Wp panel. In this study, it was found that solar panels coated with window film had lower temperatures compared to normal panels. The panel using window film (0%) showed an efficiency of 13.71% and a performance ratio of 80,0 %. Meanwhile, the normal panel produces an efficiency of 13,69% and a performance ratio of 79 %, while the panel coated with 20% window film has a lower efficiency and performance ratio, namely 13.2% and 76,9%.
