Analisis Perbandingan Performansi Sistem Solar Tracker Single Axis Dengan Sistem Konvensional Pada Sistem Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya Rooftop
ABSTRACK
This research aimed to conduct a comprehensive comparative performance analysis between a newly developed single-axis solar tracker system and a conventional static solar panel system. The increasing global energy demand underscores the critical need for optimizing renewable energy sources, particularly solar power, which faces inherent challenges due to the sun's dynamic position throughout the day. To address this, the study employed an experimental design involving detailed system construction and rigorous data acquisition over a 7-day period (from 08:00 to 17:00 WIB) at Universitas Riau, followed by quantitative analysis of energy production, efficiency, and tracking accuracy. Test results over the entire 7-day period consistently show that the single-axis solar tracker system significantly outperformed the static system. Cumulatively, the static system generated a total of 2439.2 Wh, while the tracker system produced a net total of 2813.9 Wh, representing a 15.36% increase in net energy. The overall average efficiency for the static system was 10.10%, while the tracker system achieved 11.69%. Despite an overall average absolute deviation of 13,74 degrees from the optimal tilt angle, these findings confirm that the single-axis solar tracker system significantly enhances solar panel output and efficiency, making it a promising solution for global energy crisis mitigation.
