Rancang Bangun Payung Taman Otomatis Untuk Area Café Outdor Berbasis Arduino Berpenggerak Hidrolik
ABSTRACT
The development of the outdoor café concept presents its own challenges in dealing with unpredictable weather changes, such as scorching heat and sudden rain, which can disrupt customer comfort. Therefore, this study aims to design and build an automatic garden umbrella system based on an Arduino microcontroller with a hydraulic drive, which can open and close the umbrella automatically according to weather conditions. This system utilizes a light sensor (LDR) to detect sunlight intensity, an RTC (Real Time Clock) to set operational time, and a hydraulic actuator as the main mechanical drive. Test results show that the system is able to open the umbrella automatically during the day when the light is intense and close it when the light conditions are dim. The system works stably with a fast response to sensor data and is considered effective in increasing comfort in the outdoor café area. The implementation of this system also has the potential to reduce dependence on human operators and increase café operational efficiency.
