Prevalensi Dan Karakteristik Serta Beban Finansial Kasus Inkontinensia Urin Pada Perempuan Lansia Di RSUD Arifin Achmad
Background: Urinary incontinence is a condition which the patient finds it hard to endure the feeling of controlling the urge to pee. This condition can impact the patient’s quality of life and the patient/relatives’ financial burden. The female patient which was transmitted to RSUD Arifin Achmad will be given some questions based on Google Form (that already approved by ethical clearance Riau University) and QUID questionnaire. The questions will be asked by the writer based on national number or live interview. The aim of the study is to determine the prevalence, characteristics, and financial burden of urinary incontinence cases in elderly women at Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital.
Method: The design of this research is descriptive cross analytical. The respondent’s answer were obtained from RSUD Arifin Achmad’s patients through Google Form and live interview.
Result: The prevalence of urinary incontinence cases in elderly women at Arifin Achmad Hospital was 29.41%. The characteristics of elderly female patients with urinary incontinence at Arifin Achmad Hospital were mostly urge urinary incontinence, elderly age range 65-75 years or young old, Body Mass Index (BMI) 23-24.9 or overweight and ≥ 30 or obesity II, elementary school and college education, laborer/employee/staff occupation, number of children 2-5 or multipara, history of vaginal delivery, age of menopause
