This research is motivated by the high unemployment rate in Indonesia. This study
aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurship knowledge on the entrepreneurial
interest of students in the PIPS department of the FKIP Universitas Riau. The
research employs a quantitative descriptive method. The population for this study
consists of 806 students from the PIPS department of the FKIP Universitas Riau. A
sample of 92 students was selected using probability random sampling technique.
Data for this study were obtained through documentation and questionnaires, and
were subsequently analyzed using descriptive analysis and simple linear regression.
The results of the study indicate that entrepreneurship knowledge has a positive and
significant impact on entrepreneurial interest among students in the PIPS
department of FKIP Universitas Riau, with the effect of entrepreneurship
knowledge on entrepreneurial interest being 0.082., This shows that the higher the
entrepreneurial knowledge acquired, the greater the interest in entrepreneurship
among students of the PIPS Department at FKIP Universitas Riau.
