The formulation of the problem in this study is How is The Role of Women Civil
Servants (PNS) in Improving Economic Welfare in Melati Village, Sorek Satu
Subdistrict, Pangkalan Kuras District, Pelalawan Regency? This study aims to
determine and describe and analyze the role of female civil servants in their
contribution to the family economy in Kampung Melati.
After this research is conducted, it is expected to provide benefits. The benefits of
this study are divided into two, namely theoretical benefits and practical benefits.
The theoretical benefits of the results of this study are expected to increase
scientific insight, especially those related to the role of female civil servants in
improving the economic welfare of families in Pangkalan Kuras District,
Pelalawan Regency. And the practical benefits of the results of this study are
expected to be useful for the community and for further researchers.
This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. This
research was conducted in Kampung Melati, Pangkalan Kuras Village. Including
informant 1 (one) Mrs. LW (40 years old), informant 2 (two) Mrs. SP (37 years
old), informant 3 (three) Mrs. WW (44 years old). Informant 4 (four) Mrs. SZ
Data collection techniques in this study are document techniques, observation,
and interviews. While the analysis in the study includes data reduction, data
presentation, drawing conclusions. The results of this study are that each family or
individual has a different state of welfare determined by their respective views of
life. Both in the slow or fast period of time, the condition of welfare will change
and has an unstable nature. In line with the demands of life that must continue to
develop without a time limit, humans are required to continue to make efforts

without a time limit so that welfare can be achieved and maintained. The measure
of welfare is not only seen from the size of the income that has been obtained, but
also from the pattern of work relationships. Conditions that indicate a state of
community life and can be observed through the standard of living of the
community are called community welfare. Social welfare that is directly linked to
measurements using money is called the theory of welfare economics. The form
of welfare in this study is with women, a housewife also helping the family
economy by becoming a civil servant.
Based on the results of research and discussion on The Role of Women Civil
Servants (PNS) in Improving Economic Welfare in Melati Village, Sorek Satu
Subdistrict, Pangkalan Kuras District, Pelalawan Regency. The researcher can
provide the following suggestions:
1. For women who work, they should manage their time between family and
work and maximize their abilities in raising and educating their children. In
addition, they should also sort out the fulfillment of needs by fulfilling the
main needs that are urgent first and should save their income for health and
education.
2. For husbands and parents, they should have a sense of tolerance for the
challenges of the roles that women are facing, so that they always help do
housework to reduce the burden on their wives, can help by taking care of
children or cleaning the house
3. For the government, the government should make policies regarding equal
responsibilities between women and men in a family, so that there will be an
equal division of work roles between women and men. This can facilitate
the roles of all parties as wives or husbands or the role of children. For
husbands and parents, they should have a sense of tolerance for the
challenges of the roles that women are facing, so that they always help do
housework to reduce the burden on their wives, can help by taking care of
children or cleaning the house.
