Rasionalitas Penggunaan Obat Pada Pasien Common Cold Di Puskesmas P Kota Pekanbaru Periode Januari - Desember 2014
Common cold is one of acute upper respiratory infections other name for common cold in International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) as Acute nasopharyngitis (J00). Common cold is one of top ten common cold disesase and its therapy have no specific standard, this is why we need to evaluate it rational use. This study aims to obtain spectrum of drug usage for patients with common cold and its rational usage at S health care on January-December 2014. This is descriptive retrospective study design involving 483 subjects by using total sampling methods. All sample had fulfill include and exclude criteria to be this part of this study. Information of this study based on medical record (family folder) of patient with common cold. Male and children age 6-11 years old dominate this study with 53,4% male and 39,8% of children. Most common drug used for common cold is expectorant-mucolytic with 93,2%. Evaluation for its rational usage is by assessed the indication, the patient and the dosage of the drug. Appropriate treatment of patient has reached 92%. The use of antibiotic (9,5%), vitamin (83,4%), corticosteroid (7,5%) and curcuma (0,8%) has not been appropriate therapy indication for common cold. Appropriate dosage based on class of drugs are analgesic-antipiretic 75,4%, antihistamine 61,8%, antitussive 86,7% and expectorant-mucolytic 71,3%. Rational prescription in S Community Health Care for common cold has been appropriate because it already fulfills criteria for patient, drug dosage and most of all fulfill appropriate therapeutic indication.
