Hubungan Antara Tingkat Stres Dengan Tingkat Keparahan Akne Vulgaris Pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Riau

Acne vulgaris is due to chronic inflammation disease of the pilosebaceous unit charactherized by comedone, papule, pustule, nodul and cyst which is always happen on teenager or early 20-30 decade. One of the risk factor of Acne vulgaris is stress. The purpose of this study is to determine association between stress level and Acne vulgaris severity in students of the Faculty Of Medicine, University Of Riau. The design of this study was observational analytic with cross-sectional design. The subject of this study were 164 pre-clinic students of the Faculty Of Medicine, University Of Riau. The assessment of stress level using Medical Student Stress Questionnaire (MSSQ) and Acne vulgaris severity using criteria by ASEAN Grading Lehmann 2002. The result showed that the most stres level was medium (56,7%) and the most acne vulgaris severity was medium (74,4%). Based on Somers’ D correlation test, there was significant association between stress level and Acne vulgaris severity (p=0,000) with r value 0,526 (strong association). From thi study, we can conclude there was a significant association between stress level and Acne vulgaris severity in students of the Faculty Of Medicine, University Of Riau Keyword : students of the Faculty Of Medicine, University Of Riau, stress level, Acne vulgaris severity
