Pengaruh Lingkungan Sekolah Dan Self-Efficacy Terhadap Minat Melanjutkan Pendidikan Ke Perguruan Tinggi Dengan Status Sosial Ekonomi Orang Tua Sebagai Variabel Moderasi
This study discusses the low interest of students of SMA Negeri 3 Bukit Batu to continue their education to college, despite having high academic potential. Data shows fluctuations over the past three years (2020-2023), with only 5 out of 65 students (2020/2021), 4 out of 80 students (2021/2022), and 10 out of 87 students (2022/2023) continuing their education to college. The study aims to analyze the influence of the school environment and self-efficacy on the interest in continuing their education to college with the socio-economic status of parents as a moderating variable. The sample consisted of 93 grade XI students, and data were collected through questionnaires. The analysis was conducted using SPSS 25. The results of the study showed that (1) the school environment has a significant influence on the interest in continuing education to college, (2) self-efficacy also has a significant influence on the interest in continuing education, (3) the socioeconomic status of parents does not moderate the influence of the school environment on interest, and
(4) the socioeconomic status of parents moderates the influence of self-efficacy on the interest in continuing education. This study highlights the importance of strengthening the school environment and increasing students' self-efficacy to encourage them to continue their education to college, especially for students with certain economic backgrounds.
