Durabilitas Mortar Bubuk Kulit Kerang Di Air Gambut
This study investigates the durability of OPC mortar which uses seashell powder as filler. The seashell powder was made by grinding Anadara granosa shells which then burnt at brick furnace and screened using no. 200 sieve. The content of seashell used in the mixes was 4%. The specimens were immersed distilled water peat water for 120 days. The test performed in this study were compressive strength test, sorptivity test, porosity test, weight changes test, and visual inspection and acidic penetration test. The result showed that the compressive strength of seashell powder mortar is higher than OPC mortar the percentage of porosity for seashell powder mortar was decreased and OPC mortar was increased, the sorptivity of seashell powder mortar is lower than OPC mortar, the weight changes for both of type mortar was decreased, and penetration of acid seashell powder mortar is lower than OPC mortar. Keywords: durability, blood clam, seashell, peat water, compressive strength, sorptivity, porosity, weight changes, penetration of acid
