Analisis Industri Air Minum Dalam Kemasan (Amdk) Berdasarkan Pendekatan Structure, Conduct, And Performance Di Kota Pekanbaru

This research was conducted to find out the market structure in bottled drinking water industry in Pekanbaru city, to know how the behavior of companies in industry and company performance in maintaining its existence in bottled drinking water industry amidst competition with drinking water depot. This research method is descriptive quantitative. The study uses secondary data and primary data obtained from the Department of Industry and Trade Pekanbaru and obtained directly from the respondent drinking water industry in the existing packaging in the city of Pekanbaru. The bottled water industry population in Pekanbaru city is 20 companies. The analysis tools used are Market Share, Concentration Ratio, Herfindahl-Hircsman Index, Minimum Efficiency of Scale, Capital to Labor Ratio and Price Cost Margin. The result of this research shows that based on calculation of CR4 and IHH according to the range, the market structure of bottled water industry in Pekanbaru city is oligopoly market structure with CR4 value is 69,57% and IHH value is 2159,33. For barrier to entry with MES value 37,62% .Behavior of industry seen from CLR result show that average of CLR value equal to 18,44% this mean behavior of bottled drinking water industry in city of Pekanbaru is capital intensive industry. The performance of the bottled drinking water industry in the city of Pekanbaru viewed from PCM obtained an average of 54.31%. With the largest PCM at 64.30% but the largest PCM is not the largest (MS) market share. This means that the benefits seen from the PCM is not influenced by the mastery of market share.
