Analisis Pengembangan Industri Kue Kering Di Kota Pekanbaru
This study aims to determine the development strategy the pastry industry inPekanbaru CityIn this study the total population of the study were all the pastry industry inPekanbaru City, namely 31 businesses, sampling in this study using the censusmethod because the population was less than 100 so that the entire population was sampled. The analytical method used is quantitative descriptive.Measurements made in this study are using a questionnaire, the data is processed and analyzed using data tabulation, while to analyze it is to use SWOT analysistools.Based on the results of the study it is known that the main strength for thepastry industry in the city of Pekanbaru is the ease in obtaining raw materialswith a score of 0.63. The weakness in the pastry industry is that the workforce performance has not been maximized with a score of 0.25. The main opportunity for the pastry industry in the city of Pekanbaru is the increasing population with ascore of 0.59. While the threat in the pastry industry with a score of 0.18 is thepresence of substitute products (substitutes). The results of IE matrix analysis are arranged by plotting the total score from IFAS matrix (3.61) on the x-axis and EFAS (3.40) on the y-axis, based on the results of IE matrix analysis, it can be seen that the pastry industry is in quadrant I Quadrant I shows the position of the pastry industry which is growing and developing. Based on the company's position, the right alternative strategy to use is an intensive strategy or integrative strategy. Intensive strategies include market penetration, market development andproduct development, while integrative strategies include backward integration, forward integration, and horizontal integration.Keywords: the pastry industry, Development Strategy, SWOT Analysis
