Gambaran Sensitivitas Larva Aedes Aegypti Terhadap Temephos Di Daerah Endemis Demam Berdarah Dengue Kelurahan Labuh Baru Timur Kota Pekanbaru
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease that caused by dengue virus with Aedes aegypti (Ae.aegypti) as the main vector. This disease is a health problem in Indonesia, including Pekanbaru city. Labuh Baru Timur district is an endemic area of DHF in Pekanbaru city. The primary strategy to controlling DHF is still based on reducing population densities of the main vector. One of the technique controlling Ae. aegypti as dengue vector is by using larvacide such as temephos. Countinous and repeated use of temephos can be a risk factor for resistance. The purpose of this research was to describe the sensitivity of larvae Ae.aegypti to temephos in endemic area of DHF in Labuh Baru Timur district in Pekanbaru. This research was a descriptive with cross sectional approach. The Sensitivity test was conducted by WHO bioassay method, then the LC50 and LC99 values was obtained by using probit analysis. LC99 values would be compared with diagnostic value for resistance that was ≤ 0,02 mg/l. The result showed LC99 values is 0,18mg/l with which values higher than diagnostic value for resistance based on WHO. This research concludes that Ae. aegypti larvae is resistant to temephos in Labuh Baru Timur district Pekanbaru city.
