The nutritional status is one of the factors which influence the physical fitness. The level of physical fitness based on the nutritional status can be measured by the Body Mass Index (BMI) and the percentage of the body fat. This research was intended to examine the correlation between the Body Mass Index (BMI) and the percentage of body fat with the physical fitness of the soccer athletes at the Student Education dan Training Center (PPLP), Pekanbaru. This research applied an analytical, correlational research design with the cross-sectional approach and the total sampling technique of all the soccer athletes at the Student Education and Training Center (PPLP) Pekanbaru. BMI and body fat percentage were obtained through anthropometry measurement. The physical fitness was assessed through a 1200-meter run test.
