Kandungan Logam Berat Cd, Pb Dan Zn Pada Air, Sedimen, Ikan Jelawat (Leptobarbus Hoevenii) Dan Baung (Hemibagrus Nemurus) Di Sungai Kampar Provinsi Riau

Kampar Kanan River plays a very important role in the community of Ranah Village,
for example for traditional freshwater fishing activities (such as jelawat fish)
traditionally. Activities carried out by the community around the waters, apparently
can produce heavy metals into the waters and this has an impact on organisms that
live in these waters, such as fish Leptobarbus hoevenii and Hemibagrus nemurus.
This study aims to determine the concentration of heavy metal content of Cd, Pb and
Zn in water, sediments and fish organs that live in the waters of the Kampar Kanan
River, such as the gills, kidneys, and muscles. Fish samples consisted of Jelawat Fish
(Leptobarbus hoevenii) and Baung fish (Hemibagrus nemurus). This research was
conducted in August 2019-April 2020. Sampling was carried out 2 times, with a time
interval of 2 weeks. The results showed the highest concentrations of Cd, Pb, and Zn
in water (0.065 mg/L, 0.09 mg/L, and 0.265 mg/L). Whereas the value of sediments
(0.075 mg/kg, 0.26 mg/kg and 0.82 mg/kg). For the highest metal concentrations of
Cd, Pb and Zn, it was found in the muscle organs of fish with Leptobarbus hoevenii
(0.025 mg/kg, 0.032 m /kg and 0.294 mg/kg), gills (0.027 mg/kg, 0.05 mg/kg and
0.402 mg/kg) and the organ of kidney fish (0.102 mg/kg, 0.112 mg/kg and 0.649
mg/kg). Then the highest metal concentrations of Cd, Pb and Zn in the fish muscle
organs of Hemibagrus nemurus were (0.028 mg/kg, 0.04 mg/kg and 0.303 mg/kg),
gills (0.035 mg/kg, 0.072 mg/kg and 0.41 mg/kg) and the organ of kidney fish (0.133
mg/kg, 0.341 mg/kg and 0.653 mg/kg). The results of this study indicate that the
study site has been contaminated and Leptobarbus hovenii has also been
contaminated with heavy metals. But the fish can still be consumed by the public.
