Karakteristik Marshall Pada Campuran Asphalt Concrete – Wearing Course (Ac-Wc) Dengan Menggunakan Kapur Sebagai Bahan Pengisi (Filler)
ABSTRACT
In a pavement mixture, the filler has a significant effect because it functions
as a cavity filler in the mixture. One of the fillers that can be used is Kapur Tohor.
Tohor lime is the result of burning raw lime at a temperature of approximately 900
C which can be utilized and contains silica so that it can improve the quality of the
pavement mixture. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using
quicklime as a filler on Marshall characteristics in the AC-WC type asphalt
mixture. In this study, the determination of the optimum asphalt content (KAO) was
carried out at asphalt levels of 5%, 5.5%, 6%, 6.5% and 7%. The proportions of
quicklime used are 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of the filler weight. The
specifications used are the General Specifications of Bina Marga 2018. The results
of this study show that the AC-WC mixture using quicklime as a filler has a better
stability value than without additional (0%) quicklime. The highest stability value is
found in the percentage of 50% lime which is equal to 1,173.7 kg. The
recommended percentage of lime for the AC-WC mixture according to
specifications is 50% because it has better stability, flow, VIM, VMA, VFA, MQ
values, namely 1,173,7 kg, 3,6 mm, 4, respectively. 24%, 17.93%, 76.34%, 327.35
kg / mm.
