Sistem Peramalan Penjualan Sepeda Motor Honda Pada Cv. Surya Kuansing Dengan Menggunakan Metodeweight Moving Average

CV. Surya Kuansing is a company engaged in the sale of Honda motorcycles. In the process
of selling Honda motorcycles, CV. Surya Kuansing often experiences excess and shortage of
vehicle unit stock, which results in excess stock of motorcycle units on motorbike types that
are less attractive to consumers, on the other hand there is often a shortage of motorcycle
unit stock on the types of motorcycles that are in great demand by consumers. This is because
there is no system that can handle the purchasing patterns of Honda motorbikes at CV. Surya
Kuansing. Of course this has an impact on CV. Surya Kuansing in providing vehicle units
according to consumer demand. Based on these problems, this study aims to design and build
a forecasting system that can help predict sales of Honda motorcycles for the following
month. The forecasting system is built on a web-based basis with the Weight Moving Average
method for forecasting inventory. The data used to calculate the forecast value is motorcycle
sales data for the last 1 year. The results of this study indicate that the forecasting system
was successfully designed and built. Based on testing with black box testing, it was found that
the forecasting system functionality was in accordance with the design made. Based on the
results of the percentage value of Mean Absolute Percent Error (MAPE) forecasting ranging
from 20-50%, the Mean Absolute Percent Error (MAPE) forecasting ability is suitable for
forecasting.
