ABSTRACT
Development in villages is the government's main goal so that development in rural
areas becomes equitable. This research highlights accountability and transparency in
village government performance, as well as the role of community trust as mediation. In
this study the population was the Village Government of Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau
Province. The sampling technique used was stratified sampling. A total of 306
respondents participated in this research consisting of village heads, village secretaries
and financial officers. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The results of
data analysis using SmartPLS 3.0 show that accountability and transparency have an
impact on village government performance. Community trust mediates the influence of
accountability and transparency on village government performance. This research has
contributed to improving the performance of village government in Rokan Hulu Regency.
