Histopatologi Insang Dan Hati Ikan Nila (Oreochromis Niloticus) Yang Terinfeksi Streptococcus Agalactiae Dan Diberi Pakan Yang Diperkaya Jamu Fermentasi
Oreochromis niloticus is a fish that is very popular with the people of Indonesia, but in its cultivation it often experiences problems caused by Streptococcus agalactiae. This study was conducted from May 2024 to January 2025 at the Laboratory of Parasites and Fish Diseases, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau and the Bukit Tinggi Veterinary. This study aims to analyze changes in the histopathological structure of the gills and liver of Oreochromis niloticus fish that were given the addition of fermented herbal medicine to the feed and also after being infected with Streptococcus agalactiae. The method used in this study was an experiment with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) of one factor with 5 treatment levels and 3 replications. The treatments given were Kn: Negative control (no treatment applied), Kp: positive control (no treatment applied and infected with S. agalactiae), P1 (100 mL/kg feed), P2 (125 mL/kg feed), P3 (100 mL/kg feed) and infected with S. agalactiae. The fish were infected on the 31st day with a bacterial density of 108 CFU/mL as much as 0.1 mL/fish intramuscularly, then the fish were kept until the 45th day. The results showed that feed enriched with fermented herbal medicine affected the histopathology of gills and liver of Oreochromis niloticus. The best dose was found in P3 with a dose of 150 ml/kg of feed, seen from the structure of gill damaged Hypertrophy and liver damaged by vacuole degeneration tissue and survival was 83.33%.
