Hubungan Kandungan Bahan Organik Sedimen Dan Kelimpahan Makrozoobentos Di Perairan Pantai Paku Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan Provinsi Sumatera Barat
Paku Beach is a tourist location that has a river estuary that supplies organic water materials. Macrozoobenthos are basic aquatic organisms that utilize organic materials as a food source while also helping the mineralization process of waters. This study aims to determine the type, abundance and relationship of sediment organic materials to the abundance of macrozoobenthos. This study was conducted in August 2024 using a survey method by determining sampling stations by purposive sampling consisting of three stations. To determine differences in macrozoobenthos abundance, a one-way ANOVA test was used. To determine the relationship between sediment organic matter and the abundance of macrozoobenthos, statistical correlation and simple linear regression tests were carried out. The research results showed that the sediment organic matter content at each station ranged from 3.635–8.865 %. Found 17 species of macrozoobenthos consisting of the Bivalvia class with 3 species of M. opima, P. erosa and T. staurella, Gastropoda class with 14 species of C. biplicate, C. radians, H. scobina, O. plana, T. fluviatilis, T. communis, U. cinerea, L. angulifera, L. articulata, L. undulata, L. littorea, L, scutulata, N. polita and N. costata. The abundance of macrozoobenthos has an average value of 7.296 ind/m2 with details between sampling points of 4.667–9.333 ind/m2 and between intertidal subzones of 6.222–8.778 ind/m2. There is a strong relationship between the organic matter content of sediment and the abundance of macrozoobenthos with an r value of 0.7437 so that the organic matter content can affect the abundance of macrozoobenthos by 55.31%. The relationship between the organic matter content of sediment and the abundance of macrozoobenthos is interpreted in the regression equation Y=2.6652+0.7732X.
