Gambaran Eritrosit Ikan Sepat Rawa (Trichogaster Trichopterus Pall) Yang Terinfeksi Parasit Trematoda Digenea (Clinostomum Sp.)
Trichogaster trichopterus is one of freshwater fishes that has highly favored by consumers for its delicious taste and nutritional content. This study was conducted from September 2024 to March 2025 at the Parasitology and Fish Diseases Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. The study aimed to examine the erythrocyte profile infected by the digenean trematode parasite Clinostomum sp. The method used in this research was a purposive sampling survey. Sampling locations consisted of three stations: Frist Station was located in FAPERIKA at the reservoir entrance, while stations 2 and 3 were situated 50 meters west and north of station 1, respectively. The results showed that Trichogaster trichopterus infected with Clinostomum sp. had erythrocyte counts of 0.84–1.07 × 10⁶ cells/mm³, hemoglobin levels of 4.29–4.54 g/dL, and hematocrit values of 21.7–27.3%. It can be concluded that the erythrocyte profile of swamp gourami was lower than the normal levels. Water quality in the FAPERIKA reservoir ranged with temperatures of 26.0–31.2°C, pH of 4.2–6.1, and DO values of 4.3–6.8 mg/L. Based on the data obtained during the study, it can be concluded that Clinostomum sp. infection affects the erythrocyte profile of Trichogaster trichopterus, showing signs of anemia.
