“Pengaruh Grammature Terhadap Cutting Quality Pada Mesin Folio Sheeter”
Paper grammature is defined as a measure of the weight of a sheet of paper, where paper weight is measured in grams per square meter (gsm) or g/m2. Grammature plays an important role in determining the characteristics of the paper sheet as well as the cutting quality during the cutting process. This final project aims to determine the effect of grammature on cutting quality on folio sheeter machine. The data used in this final project is secondary data obtained from daily reports which are then analyzed using diagrams. There are 5 variations of grammature, namely 230 gsm; 250 gsm; 270 gsm; 300 gsm; 350 gsm. The results of the analysis state that increasing or adding grammature will affect the quality of cutting on paperboard and affect the service life of the knife. The analysis shows that the 300 - 350 gsm grammature variation produces cutting quality at levels 7 and 8 and the fastest decrease in knife life is 2 days.
