Analisis Faktor-Faktor Yang Memengaruhi Keputusan Pekebun Untuk Mengikuti Sertifikasi Ispo Di Kampung Empang Pandan Kabupaten Siak
ABSTRACT
Palm oil is a national strategic commodity that has a major contribution to the Indonesian economy, both in terms of providing employment, improving people's welfare, and earning foreign exchange. However, the expansion of oil palm plantations also raises various environmental and social issues, such as deforestation, environmental degradation, and agrarian conflicts. To address these sustainability challenges, the Government of Indonesia implemented the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certification as a mandatory standard for all palm oil business actors. However, the level of participation of smallholders, especially independent smallholders, in ISPO certification is still relatively low. This study aims to determine the description of ISPO implementation and analyze the factors that influence smallholders' decision to participate in ISPO certification. The method used was a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique of 60 smallholders. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and logistic regression with the help of SPSS software. The results showed that the variables of education level, participation in counseling, ownership of SHM and STDB, and participation in farmer groups had a significant effect on smallholder decisions. Therefore, increasing smallholder participation in ISPO certification must pay attention to aspects of education, land legality, and institutional support in order to achieve the sustainability of the national palm oil industry.
