Pertumbuhan Bibit Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.) Yang Diberi Pupuk Organik Libo Ganik Dengan Pupuk Npkmg 15:15:6:4 Di Main Nursery
ABSTRACT
Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is a major plantation crop in Indonesia,
requiring high-quality seedlings to support optimal growth and yield. This
study aimed to determine the effect of combining Libo Ganik organic
fertilizer and compound NPKMg 15:15:6:4 fertilizer on seedling growth in
the main nursery, and to identify the best dosage combination. The
experiment was conducted for four months at the Experimental Farm of the
Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, using a completely randomized
design (CRD) with five treatments and four replications. The treatments
consisted of: P1 (0 g Libo Ganik + 100 % NPKMg), P2 (100 g Libo Ganik
+ 75 % NPKMg), P3 (200 g Libo Ganik + 50 % NPKMg), P4 (300 g Libo
Ganik + 25 % NPKMg) and P5 (400 g Libo Ganik + 0 % NPKMg). Each
experimental unit contained three seedlings, totaling 60 oil palm seedlings
of the Topaz variety. The observed parameters included seedling height
increment, leaf number increment, collar diameter increment, root volume,
dry weight, and shoot-root ratio. Results showed that P3 (200 g Libo Ganik
+ 50 % NPKMg) gave the highest performance in height increment, collar
diameter, and root volume. Meanwhile, P2 (100 g Libo Ganik + 75 %
NPKMg) resulted in the highest dry weight and shoot-root ratio. The
combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers proved effective in
improving seedling quality and nutrient uptake efficiency. Thus, the P3
treatment is recommended for optimal oil palm seedling development in
Inceptisol soils.
