Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Pair Checks Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Kognitif IPA Siswa Pada Materi Cahaya Dan Alat Optik
Science learning is a process aimed at helping students understand scientific concepts and relate them to everyday phenomena. However, based on observations at SMPN 7 Pekanbaru, learning is still conducted conventionally, with teacher-centered lecture methods and minimal active student involvement. Consequently, students' cognitive learning outcomes, particularly in light and optical instruments, remain low. Students tend to simply memorize concepts without truly understanding them, resulting in underdevelopment of critical thinking skills.
This study aimed to determine improvements in students' cognitive learning outcomes after implementing the Pair Checks learning model on light and optical instruments. Furthermore, this study also aimed to determine whether there were significant differences in cognitive learning outcomes between students taught using the Pair Checks model and those taught using conventional learning models.....
