Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Koopratif Tipe Murder Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Kognitif Siswa Sma Kelas 11 Pada Materi Suhu Dan Kalor
According to BSNP, 21st-century education aims to shape a prosperous and dignified Indonesian society at the global level through quality individuals who are independent and highly motivated. Learning is no longer just memorizing material, but emphasizes critical thinking, innovation, and problem solving. Physics as a science that explains natural phenomena plays an important role in everyday life. One important material in physics is temperature and heat, concepts related to thermal energy, but are abstract and therefore difficult to visualize, which impacts low student understanding and learning outcomes. The main problem in physics learning is the conventional method that is still teacher-centered, minimal interaction, and does not actively involve students. This condition was observed at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru, where the dominance of lectures led to low participation and learning outcomes. As a solution, the MURDER learning model (Mood, Understand, Recall, Digest, Expand, Review) was implemented which emphasizes active, collaborative learning and deep understanding. This model encourages full student involvement in the learning process through reading, discussion, and reflection. Research shows that the MURDER model is effective in improving learning outcomes, conceptual understanding, and higher-order thinking skills.....
