Gambaran Hematologis Ikan Jambal Siam (Pangasianodon Hypophthalmus) Yang Direndam Dalam Larutan Ekstrak Kulit Buah Manggis (Garcinia Mangostana)
Mangosteen peel (Garcinia mangostana) can be used to treat striped catfish infected with Aeromonas hydrophila. The extract of mangosteen peel contains antioxidant and antibacterial properties, such as tannins, alkaloids, flavonoids, and saponins, which can help fight infection. Study was conducted from December 2024 to March 2025 at the Laboratory of Fish Parasites and Diseases, University of Riau. The aim was to determine the best dose of mangosteen peel extract through immersion and to observe the hematological responses of infected fish. The experimental design used a Completely Randomized Design one factor with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Kn (not immersed in mangosteen peel extract solution and not infected with A. hydrophila), Kp (not immersed in mangosteen peel extract solution and infected with A. hydrophila). Fish that have been Infected bye A.hydrophila were immersed in mangosteen peel with doses P1 (0.5 g/L), P2 (0.7 g/L), and P3 (0.9 g/L). Infected fish were immersed once for 4 hours in the extract solution. Blood samples were taken twice: 2 days after infection and 14 days after treatment. The result indicated that immersion of fish in a mangosteen peel extract solution is effective in treating infected fish infected by A. hydrophila. The best dose is 0.7 g/L
