This study aims to determine whether the use of the finger painting method has a significant effect on the expression drawing skills of grade I students at State Elementary School 130 Pekanbaru. This study is a quantitative descriptive study. The research variables are the dependent variable (Y) namely "drawing expressions" and the independent variable (X) namely "finger painting". The subjects of the study were finger painting works of grade I students of State Elementary School 130 Pekanbaru totaling 20 students. Data collection with expression drawing assessment using the finger painting method. Data analysis techniques using a Likert scale. Data analysis was carried out by means of assessment, scoring the assessment results and calculating data. The results of the study of expression drawing using the finger painting method on grade I students of State Elementary School 130 Pekanbaru can be concluded as follows (1) The results of finger painting works from 20 grade I students of State Elementary School 130 Pekanbaru amounted to 20 works. The assessment results obtained an average overall score = 67.00 which was converted on a Likert scale so that it entered the criteria = Good, with a skilled category. (2) The value of drawing expressions using the finger painting method for class I students at State Elementary School 130 Pekanbaru is shown by four indicators, namely: line, shape, texture, and color.
