This research is a research and development that aims to develop a local wisdom-based illustrated storybook media that raises the story of the Siak Palace for elementary school students. This research and development uses the ADDIE development model; analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research was conducted on grade V students of SDN 001 Tualang District, Siak Regency in the even semester of 2023/2024. The data collection techniques used in this research and development were in the form of validation questionnaires and practicality questionnaires. The data analysis technique used was descriptive quantitative analysis which was used to analyze data in the form of suggestions and input provided by expert validators which then became a reference for researchers to revise the interactive learning media developed based on the results of the validation sheet assessment and to analyze data in the form of scores from the media practicality validation sheet. The results obtained from the media validity test showed that the Siak Palace illustrated storybook media received a valid category with a percentage score of 83.33%. The development of picture story books is said to be valid because it has met the assessment criteria seen from the appearance aspect, content aspect and language aspect. Then in the practicality assessment by the teacher, it got a very good category with a percentage score of 95%. In carrying out the trial, based on the results of the small group trial in this study, it was seen that students could easily use the developed product and felt happy and not bored when using it in learning. The information presented in the picture story book is very useful for students' knowledge. After conducting a small group trial to see the validity and practicality of the developed product, it can be concluded that the picture story book media "Visiting the Siak Palace" is included in the very good category with a percentage of 95.11% obtained from student responses. This shows that the picture story book media is suitable for use by teachers and students in the learning process. From the results of validity and practicality, it was concluded that the picture story book media "Visiting the Siak Palace" was declared valid and very practical.
