ABSTRACT
This research was conducted on December 2019 until February 2020. The purpose
of this study was to obtain the best dose of yeast added in feed to increase feed
efficiency and growth of siamese catfish (P. hypophthalmus) seed. The test fish
used in this research were siamese catfish (P. hypopthalamus) sized 2,67±0,46 g.
Raised in 15 units of cages measuring 1 x 1 x 1( m3) with stocking density of fish
25 fish /m3. The method used is completely randomized design (CRD) with 1
factor consisting of 4 treatment levels and 3 replicates. The test feed used was
artificial feed which was self-formulated and formed into pellets. The yeast given
in each treatment was 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 g / kg of feed with a feed protein
content of 35%. The results showed that the addition of S. cerevisiae to the feed
