Pengaruh Biomassa Eceng Gondok (Eichornia Crassipes) Terhadap Perubahan Parameter Fisika Air Gambut Kolam Ikan Lele Lokal (Clarias Batrachus)
ABSTRACT
Eichornia crassipes has root fibers that can improve water quality, for increasing growth and maintaining the survival of local catfish (C. batrachus). This research has been conducted in August – September 2020, at the Quality of Aquaculture Laboratory with Marine Chemistry Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Faculty, Riau University. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of water hyacinth (E. crassipes) biomass and to get the best biomass to improve the physical parameters of peat water in pond local catfish (C. batrachus). This study used a one-factor completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments in this study were different water hyacinth biomass, P0 (control), P1 (112 g/m2), P2 (162 g/m2) and P3 (212 g/m2). Local catfish seeds that are used are sized 5-7 cm, maintained for 30 days in a rearing container with a water volume of 98 liters and a density of 2 fish / L. The results showed that the best treatment was biomass 212 g/m2 water hyacinth it was able to improve the quality of the physical parameters of peat water in local catfish ponds such as reducing TSS 32,66 %, turbidity 44,22 %, TDS 34,33 %, increasing water transparency 11,13% and changing the color of peat pond water from dark brown to light brown. Absolute weight growth (9,04 g) and also maintaining the survival of local catfish (94,67%). Highest growth of water hyacinth / 3 days is biomass 112 g/m2 water hyacinth (2,82 %).
