Education in the 21st century requires schools to change their learning approach. The original teacher-centered learning approach has now shifted to a student-centered learning approach. However, many schools have yet to implement this approach. This is because some teachers still adhere to the previous curriculum and are reluctant to change their teaching methods due to their familiarity with the previous model. This problem leads to monotonous classroom conditions, leading to student boredom, inactivity, and low learning interest, which in turn impacts cognitive learning outcomes. Therefore, an evolution of the learning system towards a more student-centered approach is needed to improve the quality and relevance of education and prepare students for the modern era. One student-centered learning model that can improve student learning outcomes is the REACT learning model, supported by learning media in the form of Scratch, a technological innovation in today's education sector. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the REACT learning model using Scratch media on the cognitive learning outcomes of seventh-grade students at SMPN 5 Pekanbaru on the solar system. Furthermore, this study aimed to compare cognitive learning outcomes on the solar system between classes using the REACT learning model using Scratch media and classes using conventional learning models.....
