Pengembangan Modul Ajar Statistika Berbasis Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Matematika Peserta Didik Smp Kelas VII
Mathematical Literacy is one of the abilities that must be possessed by students in learning mathematics. Learning that improves mathematical literacy can build students' knowledge and understanding of a mathematical concept. Having mathematical literacy can involve individuals in using existing procedures and using knowledge of competence and self-confidence to apply their knowledge in everyday life. Knowing the importance of mathematical literacy, through the developed teaching module, it can improve students' mathematical literacy.
This study aims to develop a teaching module based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on statistics material with the topic of data presentation to improve students' mathematical literacy that is valid, practical and effective. The form of research conducted is development research using the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate). The Define stage is carried out by conducting initial and final analysis, analysis of student characteristics, concept analysis, task analysis, and specification of learning objectives. The Design stage is the stage of creating instruments and making an initial design of the teaching module. The Development stage is the stage of developing and validating the teaching module by experts. The results of the validation of the teaching module are revised and then tested to determine the level of practicality of the teaching module. The Disseminate stage is the stage of publishing the research results and packaging the teaching module in the form of a book as a product to be distributed to several junior high schools/Islamic junior high schools. Data collection techniques include questionnaires, observations, tests, and interviews.
