Kaji Komputasional Pengaruh Variasi Time Injection Terhadap Performa Mesin Diesel Berbahan Bakar B40
ABSTRACT
The availability of petroleum is currently decreasing due to increasing demand. Therefore, other alternatives are needed to reduce dependence on petroleum. One concrete step taken by the government is the implementation of the B40 biodiesel mixture. The use of B40 requires adjustments to conventional engines, especially diesel engines. This is due to differences in fuel combustion characteristics. One of them is the need for injection timing adjustments to ensure optimal engine performance. This study will discuss the effect of injection timing variations on diesel engines where this study aims to analyze the effect of injection timing variations on the performance of B40-fueled diesel engines computationally. Where injection timing variations were carried out at 8°, 13°, 18°, 23°, and 28° with rotational speeds at 900, 2000 and 3000 RPM. The results of the study show that 23° produces the best performance with a power output of 6.439 kW, torque of 30.76 Nm, and IMEP of 3.787 at a rotational speed of 2000 RPM.
