out their duties. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method. The

technique and fifty rice farmers selected through purposive sampling. The data used
included primary data collected through questionnaires and interviews, and
secondary data obtained from relevant institutions. Data analysis was conducted
using descriptive statistics to assess each variable and multiple linear regression
analysis to examine the relationships among variables. The results showed that
motivation (mean score 3.21), competence (3.16), and independence (3.17) were
categorized as moderate. The performance of extension workers was also in the
moderate category with a mean score of 3.19. The regression analysis revealed that
motivation (β = 0.240; p = 0.003), competence (β = 0.162; p = 0.0206), and
independence (β = 0.179; p = 0.005) had a significant effect on the performance of
agricultural extension workers, with an Adjusted R² value of 0.370. It can be
concluded that motivation, competence, and independence jointly contribute
