Mediation is a process of dispute resolution between two or more parties through negotiation or consensus with the help of a neutral party who has no authority to decide. A consensus or consensus approach in the mediation process implies that everything generated in the mediation process must be the result of agreement or agreement of the parties.
The purpose of this study is to find out how the settlement of environmental pollution disputes through mediation between PT. Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) and the village community Senama Granny. To know the obstacles and weaknesses of the settlement of environmental pollution dispute through mediation between PT. Pertamina Hulu Energi and the village community of Senama Nenek
This type of research is a sociological legal research, because in this study the authors directly conduct research on the location or place the problem under study. This research was conducted in Tapung Hulu Sub-district, Kampar District, while population and sample were all parties related to the problem studied in this research, data source used, primary data, secondary data and tertiary data, data collecting technique in this research with interview and literature study.
The settlement of environmental dispute in Senama Nenek village in Tapung Hulu sub-district of Kampar Regency has not been maximized due to the existence of obstacles and weaknesses, obstacles and weaknesses encountered in the settlement of environmental pollution dispute through mediation between PT. Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) and villagers of Senama Nenek are not the result of the agreement of the mediation result held by PT. Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) to the village community village.
