The incidence of lung cancer in the province of Riau in Pekanbaru City

general practitioners on the early detection of lung cancer is important, because
the prevalence of patients who present with advanced stage is high at 70%.
Therefore, this study aims to determine the knowledge of private general
practitioners on the early detection of lung cancer. DPUS of 93 with an average
age of 25-40 years, the majority female, the average practice less than 5 years
and an average ever seminar lung cancer. The results of this study found that
some DPUS knowledge about the early detection of lung cancer that is 57% less,
31% adequate, 12% good. Regarding knowledge about lung cancer screening
guidelines 65 (69.89%) DPUS know, 28 (30.11%) did not know. Regarding lung
cancer screening program linked to the control of cigarette 87 (93.55%) DPUS
agree and 6 (6.45%) if possible. From these data it can be concluded that the
majority DPUS have less knowledge on the early detection of lung cancer.
