Gambaran Densitas Tulang Wanita Pasca Menopause Di Upt Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Khusnul Khotimah Provinsi Riau Tahun 2016

The number of postmenopausal women is associated with high life expectancy in the Riau Province. Woman's risk of disease will increase after menopause and post-menopause. The degradation in bone density is one of the symptoms experienced by postmenopausal women and it would lead to osteoporosis. This study was a descriptive study using cross-sectional approach, conducted in UPT Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Khusnul Khotimah Riau Province in November 2016 that involved 26 respondents. The results was most of respondents aged 71-80 years (46,2%), with work history (57,7%), experienced menopause for over 5 years (100%), with unregular milk intake (53,8%), without hormonal contraception (92,3%) and 38.5% with a normal body mass index. The rate of bone density in this study were normal (3.8%), osteopenia (15.4%) and osteoporosis (80.8%). The average T-Score in this study was -2.80 ± 0,19SD. It can be concluded by the study that had been done that postmenopausal women who lived in UPT Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Khusnul Khotimah Riau Province in 2016 mostly had osteoporosis.
