Pemberian Beberapa Konsentrasi Bakteri Selulolitik Pada Jerami Padi (Oryza Sativa L.) Dengan Ukuran Cacahan Berbeda Terhadap Kecepatan Matang Dan Kualitas Kompos
Rice straw is the availability of organic material was abundant, but many contain cellulose, hemicellulose, which causes C/N ratio was high, namely 50-70 so that the decomposition process takes a long time. Nevertheless composted rice straw has a higher nutrient compared to the prior composted rice straw. Utilization of cellulolytic bacteria as decomposer can produce cellulase enzymes for cellulose degrade contained in rice straw which aims to accelerate the decline in C/N ratio. In addition to cellulolytic bacteria particle size also affects process composting, the smaller the particle size of the organic material, the faster the composting process. This study aims to determine the combination of cellulolytic bacteria concentration with the size of shredded material in producing quality rice straw compost (Oryza sativa L.) were good. This study is an experiment arranged in completely randomized design (CRD) non factorial with giving treatment some shredded material size with some cellulolytic bacteria concentration. Variables observed that C-organic, nitrogen, C/N ratio, pH analysis every two weeks, the temperature is observed every day while Phosphorus, Potassium, color and odor were observed at the end of the composting process. Treatment given non significant on the C-organic, nitrogen, C/N ratio, phosphorus, and potassium. Finely chopped rice straw treatment with cellulolytic bacteria concentration of 50% (K9) produced the fastest composting time with C/N ratio 19,10, organic C 34,52%, 1,82% nitrogen, 0,41% phosphorus, potassium 4,65%, pH 6,16, temperature 30,00oC, has a very dark brown color, and smells like soil. Rough chopped rice straw treatment without giving cellulolytic bacteria (K4) produces nutrients phosphorus and potassium high, respectively 0.55% and 5.75%.
