Modifikasi Alat Uji Tribometer Pin On Disc Dengan Dua Konsep Pengujian Rotasi Dan Translasi
Abstract
One of the phenomena that occurs in the field of machining is the phenomenon of contact between components. Tribometer is a tool used to determine the wear and friction of a material between two contact surfaces. The Pin On Disc tribometer that already exists in the Mechanical Engineering lab at the University of Riau is driven by an electric motor and uses a regulator as a regulator of the motor rotation speed, with the testing mechanism using rotational motion. So here the author wants to modify the Pin On Disc tribometer test equipment, with the addition of components in order to produce translational motion. From the results of the components that have been made, the working mechanism of the Pin On Disc tribometer is obtained, the rotational motion of the disc is used as a driving force for the connecting rod that is connected to reciprocating to produce translational motion, which is assisted by the reciprocating slider as a translational motion path of reciprocating.
