ABSTRACT Sanding work is a step that is carried out before entering the final process to remove defects, shape and smooth the surface of objects. The main purpose of making this belt sanding machine is to help and simplify the sanding process. The process of making this belt sanding machine there are several processes that are carried out so that the manufacture of the belt sanding machine can run smoothly. The process includes the planning stage for the manufacture of components that will be used in the manufacture of the belt sanding machine, then proceed with the manufacture of components of the belt sanding machine, after which the belt sanding machine becomes one, so that the machine can work as planned. This belt sanding machine has specifications for a length of 500 mm, a width of 300 mm, and a height of 550 mm. The driving source of the belt sanding machine is an electric motor with a power of 0.5 HP and a rotation of 2800 rpm. The transmission system uses a roller. The belt sanding machine consists of several components, namely the main frame, electric motor, driving roller, carrier roller, roller seat retaining rod, work table retaining rod, work table, sanding belt, and sanding belt strength adjusting rod.
