Pembuatan Mesin Friction Stir Welding Untuk High Density Polyethlene(Hdpe)
Abstract Friction stir welding can be used for welding thermoplastic materials, one of which is High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). So it is necessary to manufacture a strong frame to withstand all friction stir welding machine components, manufacture a friction stir welding machine frame based on the design drawings (Kurniawan, 2021) with aluminum profiles, angle brackets, hollow iron, steel plates and 15180 aluminum used as a base. Work Unit. The manufacture of the friction stir welding machine frame goes through several stages such as the measurement process, the cutting process, the drilling process and the joining process. The process of connecting the leg frames is done by welding. The result of making this friction stir welding machine frame is that it can do welding on High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) by using a spindlle motor rotation speed of 500 rpm with a tool temperature of 100℃.
