This research aims to find out the role of posyandu cadres in increasing public awareness about health in West Maredan Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency.After this research is carried out, it is hoped that it will provide benefits. The benefits of this research are divided into two, namely theoretical benefits and practical benefits. It is hoped that the theoretical benefits of this research will increase scientific insight, especially regarding the role of posyandu cadres in increasing public awareness about health. And it is hoped that the practical benefits of this research will be beneficial for society, families and future researchers. This research is a type of qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive method. This research was carried out in West Maredan Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency involving 5 (five) informants as research subjects. Data collection techniques in this research are documentation, observation and interview techniques. Meanwhile, the analysis in this research includes data presentation, drawing conclusions, and triangulation. Based on data analysis and discussion, the results of this research can be concluded that the role of posyandu cadres in increasing public awareness about health in West Maredan Village has been going well. The role of cadres as sources of information has been going well and they play an active role in conveying and disseminating information. This can be seen from the answers to interviews with informants, where the cadres have played a very active role in conveying information to the community both in terms of the schedule and implementation of the posyandu. Then in terms of facilitators, cadres have provided adequate facilities and infrastructure for the implementation of the posyandu and brought in doctors or midwives. As facilitators, the cadres have also played an active role by providing new innovations, namely by bringing midwives to the posyandu implementation, the cadres visiting residents' homes, holding discussions about health problems, and the cadres also carrying out data collection and mapping of babies and toddlers. Meanwhile, the role of cadres as mentors can be said to have played an active role in guiding the community and directing the community to carry out health checks. Then, in terms of the role of cadres as motivators, it has been carried out well. This can be seen from the way cadres continue to encourage people to care about health through outreach activities and always reminding people to come and bring their babies or toddlers to the posyandu.
