ABSTRACT
SMAN 3 Tualang is one of the public senior high schools located in the Siak Regency, specifically in the Tualang District, with an address on AMD Street, Pinang Sebatang Timur, Riau Province. The library at SMAN 3 Tualang has not yet been properly managed, with data management still being conducted manually. This includes the recording of book loans and returns as well as fine management, all of which are still documented using physical library cards printed on “jeruk” paper. Additionally, recap management is still performed using Excel, and damaged books and borrowing books by teachers is still done using folio sized notebooks and HVS paper. Given these circumstances, there is a pressing need for change and development in data management practices to create a more effective and efficient system that can address the existing issues in the SMAN 3 Tualang library. This research utilizes the Research and Development (R&D) methodology and a Prototype development model. The Web-Based Library Information System was developed using the PHP programming language, the Laravel framework, MySQL as the database, and Visual Studio Code as the text editor. The system includes a Telegram notification feature, which serves as a reminder for book return deadlines. System testing was conducted using the ISO 25010 standard and evaluated through four types of user access: Librarian, Principal, Teacher, and Student. Based on the assessment criteria, the overall result yielded a score of 94%, indicating that the system is highly feasible and ready for use.
