Pekerja Perempuan Pada Perseroan Terbatas Perkebunan Nusantara V (Ptpn V) Di Kepenghuluan Pasir Putih Utara Kecamatan Balai Jaya Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
encourage women to work and the social and economic impacts caused by women's involvement as workers at Perusahaan Terbatas Perkebunan Nusantara V (PTPN V) in Pasir Putih Utara Village, Balai Jaya District, Rokan Hilir Regency. Women working in the plantation sector, most of whom are housewives, show a shift in the role of women in the household, from a domestic role to a dual role, namely taking care of the household while also being an additional breadwinner. The method used is quantitative descriptive with a census technique on 35 respondents. Research data were collected by filling out questionnaires, observations and interviews, then analyzed using quantitative descriptive. The results of the study show that the main factors that encourage women to work are low husband's income, number of family dependents, level of education, and close distance. The social impacts include reduced time for social activities and family interactions, but social status increases. Economically, there is an increase in family income, providing for children's educational needs, household consumption patterns and the ability to save, although limited. This study shows that women have an important contribution to the family economy, although they still face challenges in carrying out dual roles.
