Perbandingan H-Factor Dan Kebutuhan Bahan Kimia Dalam Proses Pembuatan Produk Normal Kraft Pulp Dan Customize Kraft Pulp Pada Laju Produksi Tertentu
ABSTRACT
This study aims to compare the process parameters and pulp quality of normal kraft pulp (a blend of Acacia and Eucalyptus) and customized kraft pulp (100% Acacia) at specific production rates. The parameters analyzed include AA charge, H-Factor, tensile strength (in unbeaten condition), and the consumption of bleaching chemicals, specifically chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) and hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂). The data were obtained from actual industrial-scale production and analyzed quantitatively using graphical comparisons and average value analysis. The results show that the customized kraft pulp process requires a higher active alkali (AA) charge of 18.79% and a higher H-Factor of 1233, compared to the normal kraft pulp process which uses 18.70% AA charge and an H-Factor of 1130. The unbeaten tensile strength of customized kraft pulp is also higher, ranging from 33–35 N·m/g, compared to 30–31 N·m/g for normal kraft pulp. In the bleaching process, customized kraft pulp shows a higher ClO₂ consumption (31–38 kg/adt) than normal kraft pulp (23–30 kg/adt), while the H₂O₂ consumption is relatively similar for both types of pulp (3.0–3.4 kg/adt).
