Pengaruh Kompos Solid Dan Npk Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Bawang Merah (Allium Ascalonicum L.)
ABSTRACT
Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) is a horticultural commodity with high economic value that is widely used as a cooking spice and traditional medicine. However, shallot production in Riau Province is still low and has not been able to meet the needs of the community. Low production is caused by soil factors, weather, and the use of less superior varieties. One solution to increase production is through combined fertilization of organic fertilizers such as solid compost and inorganic fertilizers such as NPK. This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction of solid compost and NPK fertilizer and to obtain the best treatment on the growth and production of shallots. The study was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial with two factors, namely solid compost (0, 15, 20, and 25 t.ha⁻¹) and NPK fertilizer (200, 300, and 400 kg.ha⁻¹). The parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, number of bulbs, bulb diameter, fresh bulb weight, storable bulb weight per plant, and production per m². The results of the study showed that the interaction between solid compost and NPK fertilizer did not have a significant effect on all parameters. However, separately, the provision of solid compost and NPK fertilizer was able to increase plant growth and production. The best treatment was obtained in a combination of 20 t.ha⁻¹ solid compost and 200 kg.ha⁻¹ NPK fertilizer which gave optimal results on all observed parameters.
