Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Tanaman Jagung Manis (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt.) Dengan Pemberian Pupuk Npk Dan Pupuk Hayati Mikoriza
ABSTRACT
Sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt.) is a plant that has a delicious taste, is
highly nutritious with a low glycemic index, and has a fast production period. The
decline in sweet corn production is due to the fact that sweet corn cultivation has
not been managed optimally, so one of the efforts that can be made to increase
production is through fertilization. This study aims to examine the interaction
between NPK fertilizer and mycorrhizal biofertilizer, the factors of NPK fertilizer,
the factors of mycorrhizal biofertilizer, and to determine the optimal dosage. The
study was conducted at the Experimental Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture,
University of Riau, from January to April 2024 using a completely randomized
design (CRD) factorial with two factors: NPK fertilizer (100, 200, and 300 kg.ha-1)
and mycorrhizal fertilizer (0, 5, 10, and 15 g per plant). The observed parameters
included plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, time of male flower
emergence, time of female flower emergence, harvest age, cob weight with husk,
number of rows per cob, cob length, and cob weight without husk. Data were
analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Duncan's multiple range test at
the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction between NPK fertilizer and
mycorrhizal biofertilizer did not affect all parameters. The application of NPK
fertilizer increased plant height, stem diameter, cob weight with husk, and cob
weight without husk. The application of mycorrhizal biofertilizer increased plant
height and stem diameter. The combination of 300 kgha-1 NPK fertilizer and 10 g
of mycorrhizal fertilizer per plant yielded the best results in enhancing the growth
and production of sweet corn.
